The first medical sorority in the Philippines and in Asia.
An unbroken line of over a thousand lady doctors from the University of the Philippines Manila.
Last December 21, 2013, in celebration of its 80th anniversary launch, the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority celebrated their annual sorority homecoming event through an afternoon tea party, Eight Tea Party, at the Buenafe Hall, Calderon Building, UP College of Medicine.
The Eight Tea Party was hosted by Cindy Sotalbo µƩɸ ’09 and Denisa Oraya µƩɸ ’17. Among the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the Sorority’s 80th seal designed by Mikki Miranda µƩɸ ’16. Along with the presentation of the seal, the activities and projects for the Sorority’s 80th year were introduced. This was then followed by a forum on the activities lined up for next year. Aside from the 80th year activities, upcoming Mu Sigma Phi Sorority merchandise for the 80th were also presented. Afterwards, a video of the sorority’s Tao Rin Pala Performance for this year, in which over a hundred sisses performed, was shown. Several Christmas carols led by Sisses Tin Hernandez µƩɸ ’14, Zie Verzosa µƩɸ ’14, Blessie Perez µƩɸ ’16 and Mikki Miranda then followed.
The party proceeded with a raffle, exchange of gifts, and a performance of the Mu Band. The alumnae and undergraduate sisses all enjoyed the delectable snacks, sweets, tea, and each other’s company.
