The Mu Sigma Phi Sorority held its annual storytelling event, MUnting KaCIyahan last February 23, 2016 Even before the program had started, excitement was apparent in the children’s faces while the setting of the play ”Let No One In” was being prepared. The lively hosts of the event were Lev Nonog of Class 2018 and Ven Ponce of Class 2020. Sis Aca Almelor µƩɸ '16 gave her welcoming remarks to the kids of the Cancer Institute and their respective “bantays”. The ladies of Class 2020 then prepared a simple dance presentation, which made the children all giggly and full of smiles.
Christmas is a time for sharing, and for giving. This year, this spirit of Christmas came early to the Department of Pediatrics when the sisses of Mu Sigma Phi once again visited Wards 9 and 11 of PGH to bring smiles to the pediatric patients for its annual Parol Para sa Sanggol last December 8, 2015.
In celebration of its Service Month, the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority, in partnership with Caritas Manila, continues to raise awareness on women empowerment through the Mu Health Caravan. The second leg for this year was held last November 15, 2015 in Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, Tondo, Manila.
On November 13, 2015, the sisses of Mu Sigma Phi Sorority became magicians for a day for the students of Creche Preparatory School. It was an interactive experience as the children chanted "Abracadabra" while the sisses performed their tricks. The Sorority also gave a set of books from the 2nd Gawad Panitikang Pangkalusugan as an addition to the school's collection of books. It is the Sorority's hope that the children will learn something valuable from these books.
Last November 10, 2015, the PGH OB OPD was once again filled with energy as the sisses of the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority led its annual Sayuntis: Sayaw ng mga Buntis for the expectant mothers to shake off their stress while waiting and to dance their way to a healthier body.
