The first medical sorority in the Philippines and in Asia.
An unbroken line of over a thousand lady doctors from the University of the Philippines Manila.
In Turok Purok PGH, public health lectures about responsible immunization were conducted on August 20, 2018 at the Internal Medicine Out Patient Department Atrium (7am-8am) for IM OPD patients and PGH OPD Conference Room (12pm-1pm) for PGH OPD Staff. Lectures were conducted by our alumnae sisses Beth Montemayor μΣΦ ’80, and Nina Berba μΣΦ ’89.
After each public health lecture, the ImMunity furthered its advocacy by conducting a vaccine clinic that catered to the patients of the PGH Internal Medicine OPD and to the staff of the PGH Out Patient Department. Free Pneumococcal vaccines were given to the patients and staff. Among the volunteers who administered the vaccines are Beth Montemayor μΣΦ '80, Nina Berba μΣΦ '87, Lili Genuino μΣΦ '87, Sybill Bravo μΣΦ '97, Fae Palabrica μΣΦ '11, Sheryll Manalili μΣΦ '15, Patricia Nacianceno μΣΦ '15, Kaka Bulong μΣΦ '19, Aya Escandor μΣΦ ' 19, Justine Presinede μΣΦ '19, Patrisha Quema μΣΦ '19, Max Sta. Maria μΣΦ '19, Gina Valera μΣΦ '19, and Dudi Juras MΣΦ'19. A total of 51 units of vaccine were given to the patients of the Internal Medicine OPD and 140 units of vaccine were given to the staff of PGH OPD.
The success of Turok Purok and the Vaccine Clinic would not be possible without the help of our alumnae sisses, the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination, PGH Department of Outpatient Services, and UP-PGH Department of Medicine.
