The first medical sorority in the Philippines and in Asia.
An unbroken line of over a thousand lady doctors from the University of the Philippines Manila.
Adelfi is the Greek term which means “sister”, and true to its pillar of sisterhood, the Mu Sigma Phi Sorority celebrated 83 years of glorious sisterhood last December 18, 2017 in Adelfest held at City Garden Suites, Ermita, Manila. The event was hosted by Rochelle Cion µƩɸ ’21 and Syd Madlangsakay µƩɸ ’21. To formally welcome the sisses, Sis Joie Cañal µƩɸ ’95 gave her warmest greetings to everyone present that evening. The alumnae and undergraduate sisses enjoyed the sumptous dinner and the presence of each other's company. While this was happening, they were also serenaded by the talented members of the Mu band. After which, Sis Nala de Leon, µƩɸ ’21 welcomed the alumnae sisses present during the event. This was then followed by a presentation of the 25th year celebrating batch, Batch 1992 - the Zilver Zizzes. They reminisced their experiences as batchmates in the sorority and they also cheerfully sung their batch cheer and batch song. The Zilver Zizzes exemplify one of the pillars of the Sorority which is sisterhood. Among the highlights of the event was the exchanging of presents. Each sis brought a gift and drew a name of whom to give the present to and also dedicate a heartfelt Christmas message. Smiles and gifts were traded between sisters and unforgettable memories were created as the joyful spirit of Christmas was felt during the event. The party proceeded with a raffle wherein sisses were given presents. This was followed by the classic picture taking. The event ended with a closing speech by sis Mia Nepomoceno-Perez µƩɸ ’92. The alumnae and undergraduate sisses all enjoyed the food, presentations, presents, and most of all, each other’s company. All for the Glory!
